TV time

what’s playing::Dancefloor::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting full

Catching Dancefloor on TV now and I really wish the judges would stop saying, every chance they have, that it’s a competition. Isn’t it stating the obvious? So saying that for every team is simply redundant. Like saying words to fill the space.

As a side note, Wong Li Lin is so so so so so so hot! She makes me green in the face

I think I have cute friends. Who are aces at digressions and long long chats. With or without a purpose in conversations, I don’t think my life is ever filled with dull moments with them. Girls, you’re cute.

Bah, Technology.

what’s playing::If Tomorrow Never Comes – Garth Brooks::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting frustrated, yet happy

I’m so annoyed, the good night has been spoilt. First, due to my dratted negligence, i dropped my Stella McCartney EDP on the floor while rummaging through my bag. The limited edition gift bottle shattered upon impact. As the sweet scent rapidly filled the air, I walked away with a sour tast in my mouth.

Then the stupid memory card in my camera decides to have an error, and refuses to be read – all this after many many memorable pictures have been taken and I don’t have a backup. What crap, this damn memory card.

It was a perfectly lovely night (except for the waiting part) and these little but big things just HAD to spoil it all.

Had a delightful dinner with the girls today at Marche and the boyfriend came along. Great company and pretty good food, and a camera-obsession at the end of our mini reunion dinner. I wish and wish and wish upon the stars so bright that the memory card would revive itself when I wake tomorrow. Please, please, please.

It’s been a good 24 months with you and I never felt so happy. Thank-you darling for all and all. I love you.

Losing Sense…

what’s playing::J’en Ai Marre – Alizee::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting relaxed::

I miss Baby Daryl. He’s stuck in cyclone-hit Mauritius with winds of 120km/h. Apparantly, he’s being a cranky baby stuck in a hotel room, and driving his parents nuts. I can only imagine him bouncing off the walls. Not literally, I hope.

I am an evil home-wrecker. And I think all hummingbirds hate me now. Elaine pointed out to me that there was a birdnest hanging from my neighbour’s laundry line. And the curious in me whipped out the camera and charged to the nest. Laine said the nest was empty, I wasn’t convinced, and took a few shots. Realised there was something sticking out from the nest hole, and when curiousity got the better of me, I decided to touch it. With a clothes peg. After a first gentle poke, there was no response and I thought it was a feather poking out – after all, it IS a birdnest, and feathers are to be expected. I decided to prod the thing a second time, and this time around, a furry ball shot out like a bullet, surprising the crap outta me. My heand jerked back, hit the laundry wall, and went completely numb. Ah well, didn’t get any good shots, since the nest opening was at an awkward angle. But I am certain that there are either chicks or eggs in that nest, cuz I couldn’t resist, andwent back a second time. And when the camera light hit the opening, the nest shuddered. So I grabbed a cuple of shots and left the quivering nest alone, for fear of the daddy bird zooming down to peck me. Hard.

Can you see a yellow furball in there? I’m sorry I scared the lil fella outta his home.

My room kinda looks like a shop now thanks to a open wardrobe. With tons of bags (thanks to mummy dearest) and tons of clothes (also thanks to mummy dearest), the open wardrobe is rather packed. Now that the layer of sawdust seems gone from the floor, I shall happily procede to sleep. Goodnight world, goodnight.

Raindrops

what’s playing::Doki Doki Waku Waku – Ouran High School Host Club::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting sleepy

Rain should be banned from festive seasons. With more snacks than usual to fill one’s tummy, rain only serves to make one s-l-e-e-p-y. Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Lately Daryl runs around trying to get everyone’s attention. When the attention is not given to him, he whines, sulks, and eventually, wails. But more often than not, attention IS given to him and it’s sunshine after the rain.

I feel like Daryl.

The First Day

what’s playing::You Are My Love – Yui Makino::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting tired

Granted, no large scale visiting happened this year, but nevertheless, the sleepy bug seems to have sunk it’s teeth firmly into me. Of late, it seems I can sleep more than 12 hours straight and still crave a nap barely 4 hours later. Maybe I’m taking a little too much snoozes. Hmm. I love that word – snooze. Doesn’t it look like a fake word after you have stared at it for a long while?

I love little Daryl. He’s the cutest baby ever, except when he shrieks and wails brattily to grab your attention. Even then, sometimes when he cries he is oh so cute. I think I spent the bulk of today watching his skuttle around the house, listening to him so “eh??” and pointing to whichever person/thing that caught his eye. He’s been a cheerful and easily amused baby of late. I can’t wait till he starts talking. I think I must admit though, I think Daryl is cute and I love him so largely because he is my nephew. If he was some random baby shrieking and being bratty, I wold probably roll my eyes after a while.

This fella is one hell of a messy and playful eater. Don’t believe me? Here’s proof! Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I hopped down to Chinatown today with dad as is our annual CNY tradition. Waterloo street was awash with the smell of incense and crowded with hoards of people jostling to get to the temple and place their joss-sticks in the urn. With the sun beating down on our backs, it was quite unbearable. It was annoying that some people did not have the commonsense to hold their joss higher so as to prevent the ashes from flying into people’s eyes, hair and noses. I don’t really get the need to rush rush rush through the gantry once it opened to push to the front of the temple. Afterall, everyone would get their chance. Looks like crowds and jostling happens not just at sales, fireworks displays and carnivals – they are commonplace at temples too. But if my usual whispers to the Gods comes true, it’s all worth it, innit? Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Went down to Cathay with the boyfriend, his sister and his cousin to catch Ghost Riders. And I am wowed by the show and it’s graphics. Yes, the storyline was cliched and some oneliners were cheesy enough to make you cringe, but the amazing blockbuster-esque graphics and effects were enough to make you feel like a kid watching a magic show.

All that aside, I think i have been a brat myself lately and I should really cut it out. But I can’t help it sometimes! A little more attention wouldn’t hurt cuz there’s never such a thing as too much attention I guess?

Happy Chinese New Year

what’s playing::Last Regret – Ayana::
moodflash:: stomachachy

How odd, I am starting off the new year with what seems to be a repeat of earlier this year’s mild food poisoning case. Which leaves me running to the toilet every now and then, and too much wind in my stomach.

That aside, it was once more a massive spread at the dinner table today as we gathered for the annual feasting season. It’s just like Christmas, except with more food and it’s steamboat.

As Daryl pounded his baby seat with his bowl and kept us entertained with his sporadic “a-tah-a-tah-tah-tah”, the meal was a hearty, noisy and filling one. I only wish my appetide was there along with the rest of my body.

All hail meat and seafood. Giant prawns, marbled beef and oh so tender pork. Oh, and abalone. I love.

I think I should seriously utilise my camera A LOT more.

It’s going to be a quiet Chinese New Year this time around.
Happy Chinese New Year one and all.
I hope you guys get angpows galore.

A Little Good and Bad

what’s playing::Last Regrets – Ayana::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting happy and not

The boyfriend’s mp3 player was found, and the good news came after days of thinking the little gadget was gone for ever.

After a momentary high, my mood died down.

There’s nothing to watch on tv.

I gained weight. Fuck.

I wanted to watch Ghost Rider now I won’t.

And We All Fall Down

what’s playing::Kaze Hiita Yoru – Watanabe Yuki & Yamamaoto Maria::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting lazy, full and uninspired

I’be been such a lazy person lately I’m getting tired of being lazy. Anxieety is slowly filling me as I realise that while the people around me are buzzing about with broadcast, spectrum, research, chronicle, here I am spending HOURS (literally) trying to find various AMVs online to download. And the fact that I have not gotten any results only serves to add salt to gaping wound.

Time is flying past me and I want to know where it goes to.

I will be heading home for the first time in 2 weeks and I will be bringing a while load of baggage with me, just so I survive the long long weekend. New Year just doesn’t feel the same without the anticipation of money in anypows. Sigh. I am a mercenary, big deal.

I will, for the first time in at least a week, sleep before 2 a.m. and cease any computer activity once this post goes up. I will read Mansfield Park until the book falls on my face and I fall asleep. I will stop munching because firstly, I want to read till I sleep, and secondly, I feel like a ball of lard.

Sometimes I don’t understand myself. Do you understand me?

It’s been a fast, long week filled with neverending rapidlypassing days.
My life is filled with oxymorons.

A Little Bit Of Love

what’s playing::Hare Hare Yukai – Hirano Aya::
moodflash:: Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting blissful

Written on 13th February 2007:

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and unlike most couples happily planning their special night out, I will be ending classes at 7.30 pm. I will not receive flowers, and I do not expect a present. I will not be going to fancy restaurant for dinner, and I will not be whispering sweet nothings atop Mt Faber beneath the moonlight. No champagne will be drunk and no aphrodisiacs to be eaten. But I will still be the happiest girl on earth, drunk with the knowledge that someone loves me intensely everyday, Valentine’s Day or not.
So there will be no need for a special celebration for being struck by a fat little cherub’s arrows, because I celebrate that fact anyway, everyday.

Fast forward 24 hours later, now that the day has passed and I am filled with nothing but a sweet content and deep deep hope that this never ends.

a love thing

I love You. And Happy Valentine’s Day.

Moving on from mushiness galore, I absolutely must share my joy of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Fantastic plot, with even more fantastic characters. Not to forget, exceeding superb music and videos. Enjoy! :)

This is a must-watch. It’s so compelling that I trawled the net just to download it. And in the process, put off the studying of a quiz which I’m not too hopeful for judging that I left a 10 mark question BLANK. But I digress.

This one gives a rough chronological sketch of the occurences in the anime. Fan-made, I think, and very nicely done. Cute.

The Ending song which brings back memories of Dance Dance Revolution back from secondary school days. I’ve never ventured to try that out and I probably never will. This one is fantastic though.

And this would be the opening video. Grainy, but oh-so-cute, especially their cheerleading part. Hah.

I really like the songs that were used on the soundtrack of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Dig them.

I must really love Ayam Brand.

I have in my room:
Ayam Brand Tuna Mayonaise
Ayam Brand Sardine in Tomato
Ayam Brand Baked Beans

I know that I’ve been eating too much instant noodles when…
1] Myojo Lor Mee, which I usually love, turns my appetide off after a few mouthfuls.
2] I develop a little ulcer on my tongue, probably from consuming too much processed food,
3] I don’t feel inclined to tucking into my Nissin Laksa and Nissin Chilli Crab and Myojo Tom Yum, for the next few days.
4] I start shedding hair all over the room.

When I read my readings, I feel like I’m reading a self-help book. That should make the the guru of interpersonal communications.

I got sick of having to drink iicky orange flavoured Yakult, so I bought the Apple flavoured pack instead of the mix. I shall get the Grape-flavour next. A Yakult routine I shall have.

I need to learn the art of concise and succint writing.

I wish the crickets would chirp just a little softer.
